MC Healthcare, Inc. (hereinafter referred to as “MCH”) has continued to contribute to the improvement of hospital management by providing advanced purchasing and procurement functions that support the improvement of healthcare professionals' operations through the (1) SPD business (*1), procurement support business for medical supplies (pharmaceuticals) and the (2) joint procurement support business (*2) by hospitals, as well as medical equipment maintenance business. In the (1) SPD business, we aim to achieve the ideal next-generation supply management that anticipates the concerns of each hospital by making operations more efficient and adding value to them. - Expansion of management improvement support recipients (expansion of transactions for each of the main services*)
- * SPD services for medical supplies tailored to the needs of each hospital, procurement services for medical supplies and pharmaceuticals, and maintenance services for medical equipment

(*1) SPD business: A business that supports hospital management from the aspects of optimizing inventory and reducing the burden of logistics management operations, an abbreviation of "Supply Processing & Distribution". MCH is a pioneer in spreading SPD in Japan.
(*2) Joint procurement support business by hospitals: A business that supports the creation of an environment in which hospitals from different parent organizations can participate in a group purchasing organization to purchase high-quality medical equipment and supplies at more appropriate prices than those negotiated and procured by individual hospitals.
Responding to diversifying healthcare needs
We will meet the diversifying needs of the medical field through the introduction of innovative medical technologies and the development of new products and services.
Against the backdrop of a super-aging society, we will see further structural reforms in regional healthcare, such as the optimization of healthcare delivery systems and the establishment of regional comprehensive care systems. The Group will utilize its expertise in the SPD business, medical supplies (pharmaceuticals) procurement support business, and other areas to provide smooth cooperation support to local medical institutions that encompass acute to chronic care. Furthermore, we aim to contribute to the improvement of the quality of regional medical care by providing services such as joint use of state-of-the-art medical equipment, support for mutual information exchange among local medical institutions, and exploring the possibilities of new services in line with the development of home medical care.

Relevant SDGs
(*3)Work style reform for physicians: A government initiative to improve issues such as excessive working hours for physicians and to create an environment in which physicians can continue to work in a healthy manner, thereby ensuring the quality and safety of medical care and maintaining a sustainable medical care system.
Logistics optimization for the entire healthcare industry
We aim to optimize logistics for the entire medical industry by introducing robots and the latest digital methods and promoting joint logistics and delivery.
Our hospital services business has distribution centers located throughout Japan, and our import and sales business has distribution centers in the Kanto and Kansai regions. The healthcare industry is an industry with high urgency and needs for small-lot deliveries, and logistics costs are on the rise due to driver shortages and soaring labor and fuel costs, making logistics efficiency an increasingly important management issue. In the hospital services business, we will restructure inventory management and logistics operations into an efficient system incorporating robots and the latest digital methods, and in the import and sales business, we will promote joint logistics among Group companies. In addition, in order to play a role in realizing a decarbonized society in the future, we will proactively encourage collaboration with other companies, such as joint delivery beyond the Group, and aim to optimize logistics for the entire medical industry.
Action plan for FY2026
- Reduction of waste loss through proper inventory control
- Optimization of logistics bases and establishment of an efficient delivery system

Stable supply of medical supplies in the event of an emergency
We will work to build a system that can provide a stable supply of medical supplies in the event of a disaster or an emerging infectious disease epidemic.
The Group aims to build a system that can stably supply medical supplies such as medical supplies (pharmaceuticals) not only in normal times but also in times of disaster and epidemics of emerging infectious diseases in Japan, where natural disasters are a common occurrence. We have formulated a business continuity plan (BCP) based on effective business continuity management (BCM), and every year we conduct practical comprehensive disaster drills that simulate a variety of situations. Regardless of where in Japan a disaster occurs, we will provide a stable supply of medical supplies from distribution centers outside of the disaster area and prepare a system to support the continuity of medical care in cooperation with hospitals from normal times. Furthermore, we will also work with other MC Group companies to contribute to society beyond the framework of our business, such as prioritizing the delivery of daily commodities other than medical supplies to the disaster-stricken areas.
